6:30 - 7:30 PM  Armenian rug making traditions an overview and demonstration by Hayk Oltaci, or Hayko, rug maker and restorer. Hayko was born in Istanbul to Armenian parents. He has more than 35 years of experience gained in the leading ateliers of Istanbul, Strasbourg, Paris and New York. He is a knowledgeable world class expert of fine Armenian rugs and tapestries as well as oriental rug making traditions. Hayko works closely with museums and serious collectors and he cherishes the chance to educate and advise people new to the art of appreciating fine rugs and tapestries.
